Paper Garland

I couldn't find a garland to match my holiday decor, so I decided I'd make my own!

Ta-Da!  The finished product made me so happy I could hardly stop!

The foyer...

between the dining room and living room...

To make your own, choose paper {even scraps} and cut them into 5" X 1/2" strips.
Mine all came from Paper Delights:  patterned rolled giftwrap, shimmery cover stock, printed cocktail napkins, vellum...

Pull out your sewing machine and get to work:  line your strips up, overlapping and criss-crossing a bit.   Make a running stitch down the center, adding strips as you sew...
It will come out flat so you'll want to bend and twist the strips to create a full, fluffly garland!
